We are Recruiting!

PDFPrintE-mail

We are currently recruiting!

Please visit the forums to apply at: http://www.darkrising.eu/forum/viewforum.php?f=17

Please use the application form on that forum.

We are recruiting:

Healers:

- Holy Paladin.

- Holy/Discipline Priest.

- Restoration Shaman.

Melee DPS:

- Rogue.

- Enhancement Shaman.

Who are we:

Risen from the depths and most darkest places of the earth. Obeying the call for battle. Ready to fight the foul beasts of Azeroth. We are “Dark Rising”, an elite group of skilled players. Raiding the hardest instances of World of Warcraft, making progress and obtaining new items. Next to that we are a group of people who have fun playing wow together. What that means is: no obligatory attendance 4 raids a week, or always being serious.

We are a:

Social 10-man Raiding Guild

When raiding we are focused and eager to make progress. That means when we raid, we are prepared. It also means we have potions, proper enchants, Deadly Boss Mod, recount(?) and ventrilo ready at raiding time. Summarized this means: We are focussed and professional during raids. This however doesn’t mean that it’s forbidden to have fun or make jokes on ventrilo during raids.

The social part of the guild means that we are a tight group of people who know each-other. Don’t be a stranger in your own guild! But a maybe an even more important aspect of being a social guild is that we don’t want to pressure you to raid 4 or 5 days a week. We are a group of people with kids, school, jobs and a real life. We know World of Warcraft, despite everything, is still a game. It’s not our life. But to keep people involved in the guild , you have to raid once every 2 weeks. Of course raiding 7 days a week is allowed, but certainly not obligatory.

Our raid-times are:
Wednesday 21.00 – 24.00 invites at 20.45
Friday 21.00 – 24.00 invites at 20.45
Sunday 20.00 – 23.00 invites at 19.45

So if you:
• Can raid once every two weeks
• Are social and friendly
• Speak proper English
• Behave mature
• want to make progress in high end

Cleared Naxxramas

We have cleared Naxxramas.

I know it's nothing special, but it was our first guild raid together (with puggers). Really showed me what we are made of as a team.

Good job guys!

Fitting the pieces of the puzzle together...

We came, we saw and we conquered!

Most of us are well on their ways to becoming level 80 with the characters they want to raid with, others already dinged level 80. So now the time has come to start thinking about what we actually want to do with this guild, and how we are going to do it.

Last Sunday all the officers of Dark Rising had a meeting, which everyone (Thank god ;) ) prepared for properly. That's always a good sign, and shows that people are dedicated to giving this guild the best possible start it can have.

During the meeting we have decided (amongst a range of other things), that our goal for WotLK is going to be: Finishing Ulduar hard mode. Our main motivation for this is because Blizzard is going to remove the 310% flying speed with artisan riding in Cataclysm. Blizzard has announced that they will grant everyone who obtained a 310% mount before Cataclysm this extra riding skill required to fly 310%. But however, people who do not have the 310% mount before Cataclysm release, will have to pay 5k(!?) gold to learn the 310% riding skill.

We have also decided to hold out with the recruitment of new players for the time being. We don't feel we would be considered a serious raiding guild if we start inviting members while we are not even prepared to raid yet. So those of us who are not 80 yet are going to get to 80, and then gear up for raiding. And those of us who are already 80, are gearing up right now.

Ok, lets talk Cataclysm now.

In the meeting we also discussed what we were going to do in Cataclysm. We decided on mainly focussing on 10-man raiding in Cataclysm. We will hopefully be level 85 very soon after Cataclysm releases, so we can start clearing the new raid dungeons as soon as possible.

The website has come along nicely (If I do say so myself). I prepared the forum for applications already, although we are currently not recruiting. On the website itself, I will be adding a raid calender for raid planning. This means raid leaders will organise raids from the website, and people will sign up for raids on the website.

In any case, hope I didn't bore you to death with my text.

See you in Azeroth!
